Diesel Duty

It just shows how huge of a beast this machine this is!

Diesel Duty

Name: Diesel Duty
Debut series: 2011 New Models
Produced year: 2011
Designed: Fraser Campbell

The story behind:  The Diesel Duty was designed by Fraser Campbell and it bears a major resemblence to Alec Tam's Mega-Duty. I just realized that after 50+ reviews some might be referenced alike and so this is my second review that makes reference to another Hot Wheel. Diesel Duty is a 2011 featured machine with 2 huge pipes each side for I guess pollute the planet and making a lot of noise (here is were I ask you my loyal reader to use your imagination).

Detailed view
The looks:  Thank God car dealers dont make this massive things in real life (Ok, maybe Hummer H2!) then again this beast is one of a kind, with its massive size and what I believe is  a super motor, Diesel Duty is ready for that, burn a lot of fuel. 2011 was an atipic year since most of the models that came out of that batch became regulars in the production lines going forward, sadly this one wasnt received with such a praise (being casted only once in 2012 with a better color scheme); my thoughts are that being a massive truck with the name Diesel on it is not a great way to start with, also the color that year was one of the dullest I have ever seen for a new model (grey).

Aside from the set backs this model has its own charm, for example the huge fin in the middle of it, its like a huge intake of air that goes down to the motor which has 5 pistons in each side (10 in total) for massive effort. Not a popular model but definitively something new, despite the odds this model was taken into account to design a 2014 new model called So Plowed; which it just shows how huge of a beast this machine this is!

Blvd. Bruiser

It just looks sexy

Name: Blvd. Bruiser
Blvd. Bruiser

Debut series: 2011 New Models
Produced year: 2011
Designed: Larry Wood

The story behind:  The Blvd. Bruiser was a Hot Wheels casting designed by Larry Wood. This model resembles a muscle car hybrid , raw power, cool design and nice colors makes this model a nice addition in every collection.

Sexy beast
The looks:  It just looks sexy, thats all I can sum up about this model. its one of those models that catches your eyes and it never lets go. Originally casted in 2011 it came in 2 different colors (which I owe) , metallic copper and purple. The muscle car design is incredible incorporating the best ideas from many out there and placing it here. The interior is very detailed (going as far as putting in sight the extra wheel)

Blvd Bruiser is such a well done model with a solid die cast weight; Hot Wheels should do more of this and less of thie artificial uninspired weird looking cars which dont help the brand (it just makes everything so cheap). A must for every muscle car collector and fan overall of a good well designed die cast..

El Superfasto

A very innovative fun model with Mexican tints all over it.

El Superfasto

Name: El Superfasto
Debut series: 2011 New Models
Produced year: 2011
Designed: Bryan Benedict

The story behind:  El Superfasto is a car which resembles a fighter of the Mexican Lucha Libre. Innovative mind you this model is one of my favorites just because the top of it is removable showing more details that can meet the eye.

El "Santo"

The looks:  EL Superfasto or as I call it El Santo is a perfect car for Hot Wheel Tracks, some people call this kind of models Track Stars albeit I am not sure it has been billed like this. The model mostly is plastic but dont let this fool you , the chasis is die cast meaning it as a good speed in ramps and loops. As I mentioned early this model has one surprise which made this on my top list. The top "mask" is removable showing *spoilers ahead* 2 seats with no steering wheel nor pedals nor shift box.

I regret not buying another one of this model because surely is a very innovative fun model with Mexican tints all over it.

11 Dodge Charger R/T

It is a solid die cast with extensive real features

11 Dodge Charger R/T

Name: 11 Dodge Charger R/T
Debut series: 2011 New Models
Produced year: 2011
Designed: Brendon Vetuskey

The Aurora Fire Dept. Model
The story behind: The '11 Dodge Charger R/T was a Hot Wheels casting designed by Brendon Vetuskey. The actual vehicle was first shown at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. Originally  It features a completely new body with the most striking changes being the redesigned fascia and hood section, modified "racetrack" vintage-style taillights and a new dashboard.

Other feature which is present is that it also takes some styling cues from the 1968-1970 models. Chrome aluminum wheels became standard equipment over plastic hubcaps. The new 3.6L Pentastar V6 Engine replaces the 2.7L V6 Engine as well as the 3.5L High-Output V6 Engine. It is built alongside the 2011 Challenger SRT8 392 and 300C.

Engines are available with both the 5-speed and 8-speed automatic transmissions.

The looks:  I like the sincere effort Hot Wheels did for this diecast, it is actually a very close approach to the real vehicle. The body is die cast which gives it a nice weight and my paintjob is from the 2011 model which means it has this "Aurora Fire Dept"  on both sides along with the beautiful cherry red color. Other feature is the inside, yes it has the dashboard, steering wheel and even the speed stick is there present. The 11 Dodge Charger R/T is a solid model which you cant let it pass, it is a solid die cast with extensive real features that most models dont have.
