08 Dodge Challenger SRT8

Dodge nailed this one staying true to the legacy of the Challenger concept and taking it one step forward.

08 Dodge Challenger SRT8

Name: 08 Dodge Challenger  SRT8
Debut Series: 2008 Editions
Produced Year: 2008
Designer: Phil Riehlman

The story behind:
Amazing body work and paint job
The Dodge Challenger Concept was unveiled at the 2006 Detroit Motor Show and was a preview for the 3rd generation Dodge Challenger that started its production in 2008. Many design cues of the Dodge Challenger Concept were adapted from the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. The entire 2008 U.S. run of 6,400 cars were pre-sold and production commenced on May 8, 2008. Speaking about Chrysler of Mexico, they offered about 100 SRT8s.

Production of the limited edition 2008 SRT8s ended in July 2008, and production of the expanded 2009 line-up started in early August of the same year. The expanded offering was the same as had been unveiled earlier that spring at the 2008 New York Auto Show

The looks:
If you are in the concept of muscle cars then definitively this one is for you, it is beautifully designed covering every small feature of the real counterpart going as far as the branding decals. As usual the body of the car is made of metal with the windshields made of plastic and the vehicle in color yellow looks terrific <in comparison with previous versions>. A worthy addition to all kind of collectors, specially talking about muscle cars, without doubt Dodge nailed this one staying true to the legacy of the Challenger concept and taking it one step forward.
